We collect information you provide directly when using the Service:
- Account data — email address, name (optional), authentication provider (GitHub / Google)
- Project data — project names, slugs, monitor configurations, incident details, and component statuses
- Subscriber data — email addresses of users who subscribe to your status page notifications
- Payment data — handled directly by Stripe; we do not store card numbers
We also collect technical data automatically:
- IP addresses and browser/client information (for security and debugging)
- Monitor check results including response times and HTTP status codes
- Service usage logs
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service
- Send transactional emails (sign-in codes, incident notifications, team invitations)
- Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues
- Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
3. Data Sharing
We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers — we use Resend for transactional email delivery, Stripe for payment processing, and Hetzner/Vultr for infrastructure hosting. These providers process data only as needed to provide their services.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose data when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Livstat and its users.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Monitor check history is retained according to your plan limits (30 days on Free, 365 days on Pro and Business). After account deletion, data is permanently removed within 30 days.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at privacy@livstat.com.
5. Cookies
We use a single session cookie for authentication purposes. This cookie is essential for the Service to function and cannot be disabled while logged in. We do not use any third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption for all data in transit, hashed session tokens, and restricted access to production systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. EU and UK residents have additional rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, including the right to data portability and to object to processing.
To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@livstat.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Third-Party Services and Integrations
The Service allows you to configure integrations with third-party services (Slack, Discord, PagerDuty, custom webhooks). When you enable these integrations, incident data is transmitted to those services according to their own privacy policies.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice in the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated.
