Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Livstat ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Livstat provides hosted status page and uptime monitoring services. Features include multi-region HTTP, TCP, and SSL monitoring; incident management with subscriber notifications; and public status pages with optional custom domains.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@livstat.com of any unauthorized use.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited activities include:
- Attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service
- Accessing or attempting to access other users' accounts or data
- Using the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Introducing malware or malicious code into the Service
- Reselling or sublicensing the Service without our written consent
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions.
5. Plans and Payment
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
If payment fails, the Service may be downgraded to the Free tier. We are not liable for any losses arising from a downgrade due to payment failure.
6. Service Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service. Planned maintenance will be announced via our status page at status.livstat.com. We are not liable for damages resulting from service interruptions.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service and all related technology, designs, logos, and original content are the exclusive property of Livstat. You retain full ownership of any content you create or upload through the Service (project names, monitor configurations, incident descriptions, etc.).
9. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may cancel your account at any time from the billing settings. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Livstat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any cause shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the six months preceding the claim.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice in the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
